I loved making The Blue Lady! The beautiful Polymer Clay face was made by Kristie of sculptedwindows and I beaded around it and made it into a necklace. I have actually fallen in love with The Blue Lady - she smiles back at me and she makes me feel calm! I know it's bonkers but that's the life of me the jewelleryy maker lol!
A bit hard to see in the pictures but she has the compulsory steampunk cogs and wheels etc within the body of the work and also in her tassels/fringing.
From the top of her beaded head to the tip of her beaded fringe she measures 15cm. The cabochon itself measures about 40mm and the necklace length is about 45cm - about 18". She is finished with a gold toggle and bar clasp on a gold chain with large links. The varying shades of blue cords which make up the necklace chain has glass beads at irregular intervals which makes it all the more interesting!
