4. Alison Nash Jewellery

Take a look at this! I want to show jewellery makers from the UK that cabochons don't have to be paired only with settings. Using fabric as a backing + cabochons, beads and a needle and thread, Alison Nash has shown she has a wonderful design eye and I hope you will be inspired by her creations.  Take a look at her creations below and then should you feel inspired, you can see her website (click on a picture) or make something using similar cabochons.  Either way, you will be involved in a wearable art form that is more than a simple string of beads.

The cabochons Alison has used in this necklace comes from the Silver Sun range.   Although I have no more 18mm and 20mm left, I do have a lot of the 18x13mm.  Alison has created the most fabulous necklace using 6 cabochons in this design.  What do you think you could do with 6 similar cabochons?  How would you like to see your creations on a similar page?

Next, Alison has used cabochons which I have called "Sophie's Garden".  (Sophie is my daughter!)  Like the necklace above, Alison has beaded around the cabochons and she has added many different but complimenting beads to complete this wonderful adornment. Necklaces of this quality are for special occasions - can you imagine yourself in a strapless dress exhibiting this wonderful art form?  No one else on the planet will have a necklace like this and I can assure you, both you and the necklace will be greatly admired!
